Dec. 7. 1463 Commission to Henry Gray of Codnor, knight, Walter Blounte, knight, 

York. Nicholas Stathum and the sheriff of Derby to enquire into the complaint 
of John Strelley and Richard Bawekewell that William Vernon, knight, 
Henry Vernon his son and others broke their closes and houses at Hasilbaye, Derby, assaulted them and their men and carried off their goods, 
rents, corn, beasts and chattels. The said William and Henry were summoned by writ of privy seal to appear before the king to make restitution, 
but failed to appear and continued to annoy them.
